FeesThe application fee for registration as a patent attorney is $200. An annual registration fee of $350 is payable on 1 July each year. The annual fee for dual-registration as a patent attorney and trade marks attorney is $450. (Note: Please make cheques payable to IP Australia) Where the fee is not paid within 14 days of 1 July the Designated Manager is required to remove the attorney's name from the register and advise the attorney of the removal. Registration is renewable every year. A renewal notice will be sent to all registered attorneys by no later than 1 June. The address for the notice will be the current address shown on the Register of Patent Attorneys [Regulations 20.18 of the Patent Regulations] or the Register of Trade Marks Attorneys [Regulations 20.7 of the Trade Marks Regulations].
