Patent Attorney RegistrationFeesThe application fee for registration as a patent attorney is $200. An annual registration fee of $350 is payable on 1 July each year. The annual fee for dual-registration as a patent attorney and trade marks attorney is $450. (Note: Please make cheques payable to IP Australia) Where the fee is not paid within 31 days of 1 July the Designated Manager is required to remove the attorney's name from the register and advise the attorney of the removal. To restore an attorney's name which was removed for non-payment, the attorney must apply for restoration on or before 1 September of the year in which the attorney's name was removed from the Register, or within such further period as the Designated Manager reasonably allows. The attorney must pay the registration fee together with the fee applicable under Regulation 20.27 and item 107 of Schedule 7: of the Patents Regulations 1991. A renewal notice will be sent to all registered attorneys by no later than 1 June.
