Trade Marks Attorney Registration

Fees

The application fee for registration as a trade marks attorney is $150.

Following registration as a trade marks attorney an annual registration fee of $250 is payable on 1 July each year. A renewal notice is sent to all registered attorneys by no later than 1 June each year.

Where the fee is not paid within 31 days of 1 July the Designated Manager is required to remove the attorney's name from the register and advise the attorney of the removal.

To restore an attorney's name which was removed for non-payment, the attorney must apply for restoration on or before 1 September of the year in which the attorney's name was removed from the Register, or within such further period as the Designated Manager reasonably allows. The attorney must pay the registration fee together with the fee applicable under Regulation 20.14 and item 31 of Schedule 9: of the Trade Marks Regulations 1995.
